Choosing A Physician

Selecting the right physician is a choice based on you and your family's health care needs and personal preferences. Carondelet Medical Group has two physician specialty areas you can choose from for your primary care needs:

Family Medicine

Family physicians care for patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. They receive extensive training in office-based and hospital medicine. With their broad scope, family physicians treat families and individuals while considering the whole person. In addition to providing preventive medicine, disease management and care of acute illnesses, family physicians provide primary care orthopedics and gynecology, and perform minor office surgery. Some family physicians also provide maternity care and delivery services for their patients. Family physicians are ideal for those who want a generalist's approach for themselves individually and/or desire one physician for their entire family.

Internal Medicine

Internists specialize in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of all forms of adult disease. Internists receive extensive hospital-based training as well as training in the ambulatory setting. They manage all levels of patient care, from office visits to complex hospital care. Adults choose internists as their primary care provider because of their special knowledge of adult health care. An internist may especially provide superior health care to adults with multiple medical problems.
