Types of Gifts

Annual Gifts

Contributions to the Annual Fund are generally made in cash or through a one-year pledge, in amounts of less than $10,000. Annual gifts are immediately expendable. They play a vital role in ensuring that the Foundation has the flexibility to address immediate network priorities, and respond to unanticipated opportunities as circumstances change or evolve.

I would like to join The Carondelet Society by making an annual gift or pledge of $1,000 or more.

Planned Gifts

A planned gift can be an important part of an estate plan. It allows the benefactor to provide for his or her charity of choice, reduce taxes, and negate income for the beneficiary while he or she is still living.

Corporate and Foundation Gifts

Carondelet Foundation develops and advances relationships with local, regional and national corporations and foundations, to ensure partnerships that meet our respective philanthropic goals.

Gifts of Real Estate, Appreciated Stocks, Other Securities

These types of gifts often result in favorable tax implications for the donor, and can provide immediate benefit to Carondelet Health Network.

Structuring an Endowed Gift

Larger commitments are often made possible by structuring an endowment, in which the gift principal is held in perpetuity. Through growth of the fund and asset management, a portion of the endowment income is available for expenditure, according to the donor’s wishes.

Named Gifts

Gifts are often made in tribute to a loved one, family member or organization.
