Our Vision for
the Future Since 1880, Carondelet has worked to
provide cutting-edge medical solutions
for Southern Arizonans. But healthcare
changes rapidly and ours is a growing
region. To fulfill our mission of
service, we cannot stand still.
Carondelet Health Network is working to
become a destination for world-class
medical services. We want to help
transform how healthcare is delivered.
We have a comprehensive plan to
transform our Tucson-based medical
campuses and provide new healthcare
facilities and services for the growing
area of Sahuarita/Green Valley. Filling critical
gaps in healthcare within Southern
Arizona will require a substantial
financial investment over several years.
What people
are saying…
“Our Fulfilling the Promise Campaign
is an essential ingredient in our health
network’s commitment to providing
world-class medical services. From
our earliest roots at St. Mary’s nearly
130 years ago to the current capital
investment strategy, Carondelet has
always been there for this community and
continues to serve as a vital economic
engine to the region. We believe
the philanthropic community will respond
with generous and thoughtful gifts.”

“Like every community, Tucson has a
variety of good causes. Few
however have been a part of the fabric
of the region for as long as Carondelet.
The faith-based mission that embraces
the whole person in mind, body and
spirit is an important factor in my
support of their healthcare ministry.
I cannot think of a better philanthropic
investment.”

A Bold Plan
When fully realized, our efforts to fill
critical gaps in healthcare within
Southern Arizona will include:
-
Carondelet Neurological Institute
A comprehensive, fully integrated
solution for those needing life-saving
diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation
services for stroke, head and spine
injuries and tumors, and other
neurological illnesses and conditions.
State-of-the-art technologies and a
complete, coordinated continuum of care
will eliminate the region’s current
highly fragmented and inefficient
approach to providing neurological care.

- Expansion and Renovation of Carondelet
St. Joseph’s Hospital Emergency
Department
A larger, up-to-date facility will be
created to better accommodate the
emergency care needs of Tucson’s
eastside. The department will be
relocated on the St. Joseph’s campus for
more convenient access. Separate
entrances for emergency vehicles and
patients will improve traffic flow while
the expansion will provide space for
additional examination areas, along with
lab and triage areas designed to improve
patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Master Planning at St. Mary’s Hospital
- First floor renovations to improve
access to high-traffic destinations
- A new medical/surgical inpatient unit
that can accommodate recent innovations
in patient care
- Healing gardens to promote the well
being of patients and their loved ones

- Carondelet Sahuarita Healthcare Facility
Construction of a medical facility that can
expand to meet the needs of a growing
population
