HEART AND VASCULAR CARE

Three of Carondelet’s hospitals - Tucson Heart Hospital, St. Joseph’s, and St. Mary’s – are the only ones with accredited chest pain centers in Southern Arizona (see full story).

The American Heart Association bestowed “Get With The Guidelines” Performance Awards for the treatment of cardiovascular conditions to St. Mary’s Hospital (Gold for Coronary Artery Disease, Silver for Heart Failure, and Bronze for Stroke) and St. Joseph’s Hospital (Silver for Acute Myocardial Infarction).

Tucson Heart Hospital was named a Thomson Top 100 Hospital for Cardiovascular Care.  In addition, St. Joseph’s Hospital has Arizona’s only accredited Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab Program.

Carondelet provides a comprehensive range of cardiovascular services, from prevention and risk assessment to diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. We offer HeartSaver CT screening to help identify heart disease even before symptoms appear.

A special note on Women’s Health:

Did you know twice as many women in the United States die of heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases than from all forms of cancer, including breast cancer?

It’s true.

But by following a healthy lifestyle with plenty of exercise, women can greatly reduce their risk of heart disease.
