Arizona Health Query (AzHQ) is an integrated database of medical records from public and private data sources in Arizona.
Thanks to the unprecedented cooperation of funding, operational and data partners, AzHQ has become a powerfully responsive and cost-effective community tool for assessing the health care needs of the state and informing solutions to a wide range of population health and health system issues.
Carondelet Health Network was the first hospital group to join Arizona State University’s AzHQ database. Almost all hospitals in Maricopa County participate in AzHQ, and ASU’s future plans include an invitation for all Pima County hospitals to participate. El Rio Health Center and St. Elizabeth’s Health Center currently participate in the program. The analysis of aggregated data will support community needs assessments so that Carondelet can direct its resources toward services most needed in the community.
