KidsCare

KidsCare is healthcare insurance made available by the State of Arizona. KidsCare offers healthcare at low cost to Arizona children 18 years old or younger. KidsCare allows children to visit the doctor, get eye exams, visit the dentist, and receive emergency care if needed.

What Does It Cost? 

(premiums may increase for some families starting in May 2009)

KidsCare is inexpensive. How much a family pays is based on family income and the number of children who qualify. KidsCare will cost no more than $50 a month for one child or no more than $70 a month no matter how many children are in the household. Native americans receive KidsCare at no cost. You must show proof of tribal enrollment.

You must bring all required documents to process your application:

  • Proof of address - one utility bill: water, gas or electric
  • All household income for last month and current month such as wages, child support, social security, self-employment
  • Proof of citizenship/immigrant status for all applicants: original birth certificate, U.S. passport, certificate of naturalization
  • A copy of current health insurance ID cards
  • State issued ID's, children's vaccine records or school ID's
  • Proof of pregnancy (if applicable)
