Public Health Alert - Special H1N1 (Swine) Flu Visitor Restrictions
The following visitor rules are currently in effect at Carondelet St. Mary’s, Carondelet St. Joseph’s, and Tucson Heart Hospitals in Tucson, as well as Carondelet Holy Cross Hospital in Nogales.
- No hospital visitors under the age of 13 will be permitted.
- Please do not enter or visit if you have any of the following symptoms:

- Coughing |
| - Sneezing |
- Sore throat |
| - Body aches |
- Fatigue |
| - Vomiting |
- Diarrhea |
If you are seeking medical attention, please go directly to the Emergency Department.
- Anyone visiting a patient who has a confirmed or suspected case of H1N1 flu must wear a surgical mask to be granted access to the patient’s room. The hospital will provide the mask.
To reduce the spread of infection, we are reminding all visitors to:
- Clean their hands (with soap and water or a hand sanitizer) before entering and upon leaving a patient’s room
- Cough or sneeze into a tissue or their elbow (not their hands) – the used tissue should be thrown into a trash container
- Avoid touching their mouth, nose, or eyes with their hands.

- Ningún visitante al hospital menor de 13 años será permitido.
- Favor de no entrar o visitar si tiene algunos de los siguientes síntomas:

- Fatiga |

- Diarrea |
Si está buscand o atención médica, favor de irse directamente al Departmento de Emergencia.
- Cualquier visitante que quiere ver a un paciente quien tiene caso confirmado o que se sospecha tener la influenza H1N1 tiene que usar una máscara quirúrgica para que se le otorgue el acceso al cuarto del paciente. El hospital proveerá la máscara.
Para reducir la diseminación de infección, les recordamos a todos los visitantes que
- se laven las manos (con agua y jabón o líquido desinfectante para las manos) antes de entrar y al salir del cuarto del paciente
- tosan o estornuden en un tisú o hacia el codo (no en las manos) – el tisú que ha usado se debe desechar en un recipiente de basura
- evite tocarse la boca, nariz u ojos con las manos
