Welcome to St. Mary's Hospital

Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital, Southern Arizona’s first hospital, was founded in 1880 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. St. Mary’s west side campus offers the community a 402-bed acute care hospital, a variety of primary and specialty care practices, a state-of-the-art imaging center, and one of the area’s largest emergency centers.

In addition, Carondelet Heart & Vascular Institute, on the campus of St. Mary’s Hospital, offers
state-of-the-art minimally invasive heart surgery, excellent cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery programs and a dedicated cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.

 

 

Carondelet St. Mary’s offers a full-range of inpatient and outpatient services, including critical care, cardiovascular care, oncology, chemotherapy, orthopedic surgery, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services, neurology, urology, inpatient acute care dialysis, diagnostic and interventional medical imaging, gastroenterology lab, general medical and surgical inpatient care, hospice and palliative care, and complex wound care.
In addition, Carondelet Heart & Vascular Institute, on the campus of St. Mary’s Hospital, offers state-of-the-art minimally invasive heart surgery, excellent cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery programs and a dedicated cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.

Carondelet Health Network is proud to have a robust language access plan in place to meet the needs of its Limited English Proficient (LEP), Deaf and Hard of Hearing patient populations.  Through a partnership with Language Services Associates, the following interpretation services are available at St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Carondelet Heart & Vascular Institute and Holy Cross Hospital:

  • Telephonic interpreters available on demand 24/7 in more than 200 language offerings
  • Video interpreters available on demand 24/7 in Spanish and American Sign Language
  • Pre-scheduled video interpreters available 24/7 in Nepali, Burmese, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Korean, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Somali, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • LSA also supports Carondelet in the professional training of bilingual clinicians in interpreter services
