Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital, Southern Arizona’s first hospital, was founded in 1880 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. St. Mary’s west side campus offers the community a 402-bed acute care hospital, a variety of primary and specialty care practices, a state-of-the-art imaging center, and one of the area’s largest emergency centers.
In addition, Carondelet Heart & Vascular Institute, on the campus of St. Mary’s Hospital, offers
state-of-the-art minimally invasive heart surgery, excellent cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery programs and a dedicated cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
