Religious Support Services
A hospital stay, for you or a loved one, can be an experience that triggers a range of emotions: apprehension, fear and even doubt. To support your spiritual health in addition to your physical health, Carondelet Health Network offers chaplain services for spiritual support.
Our Spiritual Services
During your stay at one of our hospitals, a Spiritual Care staff member may contact you to inform you about our Spiritual Care Services. Our chaplains may include Catholic priests and sisters, ordained ministers and board-certified chaplains from many faiths. All patients at Carondelet may ask for a blessing from any of our spiritual caregivers. Chaplains are available during the day, and religious and other spiritual services are available upon request.
Carondelet chaplains and case management staff are here to provide emotional and spiritual support, as well as guidance in medical decision-making. We can help explain code status, living wills, health care power of attorneys and more. If you’d like to see a Carondelet chaplain, please inform your nurse so he or she can make the appropriate referral.
We also encourage you to contact your personal faith leader or clergy during your stay. If needed, your nurse or our chaplain can assist you in making these contacts for religious support.
St. Joseph’s All Faith Chapel
At St. Joseph’s Hospital, you’ll find the Fred and Olga Pace Spiritual Center, an all-faith chapel located on the first floor of the hospital. Our spiritual center offers a welcoming healing garden, space for quiet reflection and a hospital chapel open to visitors of all denominations. You are welcome to use the chapel for silent meditation or attend Mass services offered at noon each day that a chaplain priest is present in the hospital.
Please fill out the form below and we’ll confirm with you when received if you have included a valid email address. At that time we’ll also let you know if we need any additional information.
