TUCSON – Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital proudly announces its reaffirmation as a distinguished Comprehensive Stroke Center by DNV Healthcare, underscoring its commitment to delivering the most advanced stroke treatments. This latest accreditation positions St. Joseph’s Hospital at the forefront of stroke care excellence for the next three years.

The DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification, benchmarked against standards set by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association, affirms Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital's comprehensive approach to stroke care encompassing diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and education. The certification also establishes clear metrics for evaluating outcomes.

As a designated Primary Plus Stroke Center, St. Mary’s Hospital is equipped to go above and beyond the requirements of a primary stroke center, with the addition of training, equipment, experience, and personnel for performing thrombectomies and post-care for the treatment of acute ischemic strokes.
