that you are an integral part of the recovery team and work to keep you informed and able to actively participate in all aspects of your care.
Beginning-to-End Care
When you undergo joint replacement at Carondelet, we’re with you every step of the way. This includes a dedicated program coordinator who will be your primary resource for questions, updates on your daily progress and helping
ensure an overall positive experience. Overseeing your care is our team of registered nurses and physical and occupational therapists each with specialized training.
To begin we ask you to attend a 1.5-hour education class we call our Joint
Camp. During this time, you will be able to ask questions of the same staff you will see throughout your surgery and recovery period while learning how to prepare for and after your joint replacement. Joint Camp at St. Mary’s Hospital is available
in English and Spanish.
